When you purchase a new vehicle from Toyota, you are protected against defects in materials or workmanship that originated at the factory. This basic bumper-to-bumper warranty starts on the sale date of the new vehicle, and lasts for 3-years or 36,000-miles whichever occurs first. Your vehicle is also covered by a powertrain warranty lasting 5-year or 60,000-miles.
Additional factory warranties provide coverage over additional rust perforation, emission components, and safety belts. These warranties protect you from defects originating from the factory, and do not cover normal wear or maintenance costs. Every new purchased or leased Toyota comes with a ToyotaCare maintenance plan that covers standard scheduled maintenance for 2-year or 24,000-miles whichever comes first. ToyotaCare also provides 24-hour roadside assistance; available at no cost for 2-years and unlimited miles. Coverage begins on the date of first vehicle use when purchased new.
Toyota Hybrid Limited Warranties
Starting with the 2020 model year, batteries in Toyota hybrid vehicles are covered by an 10-years or 150,000-mile warranty from the factory. Coverage starts from the date of first use, and is subject to the terms and conditions of your New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
Other hybrid system components, including the HV battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter are covered for 8-years or 100,000-miles, whichever occurs first.
Is My Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Covered By A Warranty?
Every Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) undergoes a 160-point quality insurance inspection. Hybrid vehicles are tested and must pass a 174-point inspection to receive certification.
- Toyota Certified Used Vehicles are covered by a 12-month or 12,000-mile Limited Comprehensive Warranty.
- TCUV customers also receive a 7-year or 100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty that is based on the original date of first use when purchased new.
- Used hybrid vehicles are covered by a 8-year or 100,000-mile Factory Hybrid Vehicle Battery Warranty that is based on the original date of first use when purchased new.
- For enhanced peace of mind, Toyota includes a 1-year 24-hour Roadside Assistance Plan that starts from the original date of TCUV purchase.
